Mike Basinger - Percussion

Growing up in Michigan, I started on my instrument when I was about 11 years old. Drums and percussion are the only instruments I've ever played.  I played in concert bands and marching bands throughout high school. College and then family responsibilities forced me to set my instrument aside for a time. My love of music and rhythm drove me to take drum lessons at different times through my life. I was able to spend more time studying the instrument when my kids left the home, that was about 1990. I have been heavily influenced by Rock and Roll through my life, but I also love Jazz and Afro-Cuban styles of music and rhythm. I have played for many years in church bands and now have chosen outreach to the unsaved through music and personal witness as my personal ministry.
