I was born and raised in Oxnard, CA (a small coastal town 60 miles north of Los Angeles).  I began playing the piano when I was 12 years old.   I was influenced to play music by my mother who was a dance hall singer from the age of 14 until she married.

At the age of 13 I joined my first band “Soul Sacrifice” playing Latin Jazz, Oldies and R&B music and performed with Soul Sacrifice for 4 years mainly at high school dances and weddings.  After Soul Sacrifice members went our separate ways, at the age of 17 I joined a band called “Love Affair” playing Hip Hop music performing in night clubs for two years.  During one of our performances in August of 1973, I was introduced to a beautiful young lady in the audience and six months later Terrie and I were engaged to be married.

My dream has always been to perform before an audience and to write and record original songs. I have never taken piano lessons and to this day play by ear. For the next 18 years I played off and on with various bands playing different styles of music.  At the age of 28, some musician friends and I got together for weekly jam sessions and soon we formed the band “Hot Sauce”. Hot Sauce performed our original Latin Jazz music at various events in Oxnard where we became locally well known.   Hot Sauce remained together for 13 years, recording our original music in studio, until my wife and I decided to move to Phoenix AZ in 1998.   Hot Sauce released our first CD “Si Se Puede” (We Can Make It Happen) in 2004.

Six months after our move to Phoenix, our home was burglarized while we were at work and my two keyboards were taken, among other things.  It took a while to replace the keyboards.  I played solo for my family for the next few years.

In August of 2006, Terrie and I joined Palm Valley Church in Goodyear and accepted our Lord and Savior.  We were baptized in November of 2006.   We lovingly serve our Lord in the Worship Ministry on the audio/stage team for our portable church.

In the summer of 2007, while at the Goodyear swap meet, I heard a band playing on stage and was drawn to listen.  When the band took a break I went up to compliment them on their music.  Mike and Tony said they were auditioning piano players for a Christian band they were forming.   The following week I auditioned for “Consider This” and joined them playing worship music.

In my heart I have always longed to be in a good band with great musicians and the Lord blessed me with these Christian brothers and sister to further serve Him with our music.  I look forward to serving God joyfully through our music ministry in “Consider This”.

All glory to God.
